AYURVEDIC CONSULTATION
Modern medicine is invaluable for emergencies and acute conditions, but chronic health concerns often require a deeper, more holistic approach that looks beyond symptom management. In my experience, an increasing number of people are becoming frustrated with approaches that focus solely on symptom management and are instead seeking more lasting, holistic support.
Ayurveda offers a unique perspective. By considering physical, mental, emotional, social, and environmental health, Ayurveda aims to identify and address the root cause of imbalance rather than simply suppress symptoms. The body is viewed as an intelligent and interconnected system with a natural capacity for healing when given the right support.
COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT
Your initial consultation is a detailed assessment of your current health concerns, medical history, diet, lifestyle, stress, sleep, exercise, and any medications or supplements currently being taken. Information shared in your pre-consultation form will also be reviewed to better understand how daily habits and routines may be contributing to imbalance.
Your unique mind-body constitution (Prakruti) will be assessed alongside a discussion of symptoms to identify underlying imbalances (Vikruti) and aggravated doshas — Vata, Pitta, and Kapha — using traditional Ayurvedic methods such as pulse, tongue, and nail examination.
A strong focus is placed on digestive health, as Ayurveda views the gut as central to healing. Guidance may include reducing toxic accumulation (Ama), strengthening digestive fire (Agni), balancing doshas, calming the nervous system, and improving energy and overall wellbeing.
PERSONALISED PROGRAM
All of this information is brought together to create a personalised and practical treatment plan designed to support your health goals and address underlying imbalances. Recommendations may include tailored dietary and lifestyle guidance, herbal supplements, and therapeutic Ayurvedic treatments suited to your constitution and health needs.
You will receive clear action points and supportive guidance that can be integrated gradually and realistically into daily life. The guidance provided is intended to support progress over the following 4-6 weeks and beyond, while also helping to establish sustainable habits and rituals that can support long-term wellbeing.
Follow-up sessions are recommended every 4 weeks to monitor progress and further tailor the diet and lifestyle programme. Further advice is given on treatments, herbs, diet and lifestyle changes.
