This tailor-made treatment begins with an analysis of your hands and current condition to determin the specific herbal ingredients that will be used during the treatment. Herbs like Ashwagandha, Bala, almonds vetiver, neem are used depending on the skin’s doshic imbalance. By using specific herbs, your skin gets the best nourishment based on its needs.

This treatment includes:

  1. Herbal Soak: The treatment begins with a warm water soak infused with herbs, essential oils, or Ayurvedic preparations. This helps to relax the hands, soften the skin, and prepare them for further care. The specific ingredients used in the soak may vary depending on the individual's needs and the practitioner's recommendations.

  2. Exfoliation and Scrubbing: After the soak, the hands are gently exfoliated using natural scrubs made from ingredients such as herbs, spices, and oils. The exfoliation helps to remove dead skin cells, promote smoothness, improve the texture of the hands and enhance the absorption of nutrients from subsequent treatment.

  3. Hand Massage: This is a key component of the Ayurvedic Hand Spa treatment. A hand and arm massage is performed using Ayurvedic oils. The massage techniques involve applying gentle to firm pressure on specific energy points and marma points (vital energy centers) of the hands and arms. Aside from nourishing the skin on our hands, this helps to improve circulation, release tension, and stimulate the flow of vital energy throughout the whole body.

  4. Application of Herbal Pastes or Masks: Herbal pastes are applied to the hands. These preparations often contain ingredients such as fuller’s clay, sandalwood, Ashwagandha, Bala, Vetiver, turmeric, neem etc. They help to nourish the skin, address vata/pitta/kapha diseases affecting the hands such as dryness, stiffness, cracking, redness, inflammations, burning sensation, excess sweating, coldness, numbness etc.

  5. Toning: Once the mask is removed, a toner or herbal water such as Aloe Vera juice or Rose Water is applied to balance the skin's pH level, provide hydration, tighten the pores, refresh the skin as well as remove the residue of all previous treatments.

  6. Moisturising: Lastly a herbal moisturizer or herbal serum is gently massaged into the skin to provide hydration, nourishment, and protection.

This treatment has numerous benefits, including promoting relaxation, reducing stress, improving blood circulation, relieving hand and arm pain, enhancing sleep quality, detoxifying the body, and restoring balance to the doshas.
